University of Central Florida’s Alcohol Prevention and Health Center’s Awareness Campaign

Objective: 

University of Central Florida’s Alcohol Prevention and Health Center was looking to build awareness around alcohol abuse and the prevention, treatment, and recovery programming available to students.

Strategy: 

To deliver on the communication goals of the department, MSS Media, Inc. devised a campus focused outdoor marketing strategy centered on highly trafficked locations and large format signage throughout the campus. 

Our use of the campus domination tactic and traditional out-of-home (OOH) advertising materials was designed to capture the attention of Generation Z and millennial students throughout the University of Central Florida campus and to rapidly build familiarity with campaign messaging. This tactic works especially well on college campuses, where students are essentially a captive audience - spending the vast majority of their time in a very small area. As an added benefit, OOH is known to build brand awareness with a lower CPM (cost per thousand impressions) than other advertising media.
